September is suicide prevention month. In recent years, suicide rates have increased by nearly 60% among teens and young adults making suicide the second leading cause of death in this age group.

Through it all, teens need to know that help is available and that you are not alone. Below you will find helpful ways to approach these thoughts and feelings, either for yourself or for a friend.
